Previous Week Recap

Right on the cusp of a big week again last week as DJ couldn’t close it out (BROOKS kept wanting to give and DJ refused to take), STENSON’S bogey on 18 cost him a t5, and Poulter missed out on the t20 by a single shot.  We did have some nice winners in the side markets with RCB top Spaniard at +350 as well as a solid t20 market with STENSON, FLEETWOOD, STRICKER and CASEY all cashing at nice prices.

I feel quite good about the process and feel as though a big win is just around the corner.  What I can promise all of you is a continued commitment to the grind and to getting some winners up on the board for all of my loyal readers!

This Week

Bit of a hangover for those who played the weekend at Shinnie but the short trip across the Long Island Sound should help with some of that fatigue.  This is truly a great event this week and the field over the last few years has started to match the hospitality displayed by Travelers and the people of greater New England.

This will be a second shot course this week so I am putting quite a bit of emphasis on Ball Striking and SG: Approach.  I see a lot of #narrativestreet out in the industry this week about SG: Putting and it puzzles me a bit.  These guys are likely going to have wedge/short iron in their hands on several holes and whether they can get it inside the 10ft ring consistently will be much more indicative of a good score than making a higher percentage of putts outside “the ring”.  There are a few elite putters on the card this week just because I like the price and feel confident in their ability to make 15-18 footers on the weekend.
