#21 Josh Teater

Hometown: Danville, Kentucky

College: Moorehead State

Age: 39

Cuts: 17/26

Top 10’s-3*2 Runner-Ups

Top 25’s- 8

Wins- 0

Priority Ranking: 31

The Path to the PGA Tour:

Josh was exempt on the Web.Com Tour this year by finishing inside the top 75 from 2016. His two runner-up finishes along with his six other top 25’s helped him earn his trip back to the PGA Tour since 2014. There he made 17 cuts, but only finished in the top 25 twice.

PGA Tour Experience:

More recently Teater played on the PGA Tour last year making both cuts finishing in 37th and 40th at the RSM Classic and the Barbasol Championship.

Web.Com Tour Finals Results:

CUT/47/CUT/29

Other Notes:

The 37-year-old earns his keep by hitting greens and much better than the average iron game. He ranked third on the Web Tour last year in GIR but sadly wasn’t able to convert many bridies ranking 117th. If he finds a little magic with the flat stick this year, I can see him putting his ball-striking to good use and earn himself quite a few paychecks this year.

#22-  Brady Schnell

Hometown: Spencer, Iowa

College: Nebraska

Age: 33

Cuts: 11/23

Top 10’s- 2

Wins- 1

Priority Ranking: 45

The Path to the PGA Tour: Brady, a journeyman of sorts, likes to make birdies, ranking 10th on the Web.Com Tour this year in BOB%. He earned his status in large part due to his win in Wichita earlier this year. His other big finish was a T6 at the Rust-Oleum Championship, his only other top 10 on the year. He’s been playing 20+ events on the Web.Com Tour the last four seasons, finally breaking through this year. Statistically speaking, outside of his 10th in BOB%, his best statistical category is a 31st ranking in DA. We should see him in about 20-25 events this year.

PGA Tour Experience: 1 cut made in 5 tries.

Web.Com Tour Finals Results:

CUT–CUT–69–CUT

Other Notes: His win, and the T6 came in back to back weeks, and 6 of his other nine cuts came in a row. We can surmise he’s a streaky golfer, and may only see him compete once or twice this year, and likely could be within a few weeks of each other.

#23- Wyndham Clark

Hometown: Denver, Colorado

College: Oregon

Age: 24

Cuts: 12/24

Top 10’s-3

Top 25’s- 7

Wins- 0

Priority Ranking: 35

The Path to the PGA Tour:

The young bomber hasn’t measured up to the talent level expected of him coming out of college. He played in 24 events only making 8 cuts, but finished inside the top 3 twice, and had two other top 10’s, and seven total top 25’s. That was good enough to earn him a PGA Tour card this year.

PGA Tour Experience:

Clark made 1/5 cuts in 2017 and 1/3 cuts last year but did finish in 17th the one cut he did make at the Sanderson Farms Championship.

Web.Com Tour Finals Results:

35–CUT–CUT–CUT

Other Notes:

Clark ranked 11th in driving distance on the Web Tour last year and was able to convert those drives into a good amount of bridies, ranking 10th on the year in BOB. He’s a bit volatile, so look for events that are typically low scoring, and his price is around the minimum.

Personal Rank: #19

#24-John Chin

Hometown: Fairfax, Virginia

College: UC-Irvine

Age: 31

Cuts: 12/23

Top 10’s-3 * two runner-ups

Top 25’s- 6

Wins- 0

Priority Ranking: 27

The Path to the PGA Tour:

John’s runner-up finishing at the least regular season Web event was HUGE for him, vaulting him to the PGA Tour. Before that, he earned only two other top 10’s and five other top 10’s.

PGA Tour Experience:

Chin is 1/2 in his PGA Tour career finishing in a T68th at the Barracuda Championship.

Web.Com Tour Finals Results:

CUT–CUT–43

Other Notes:

To the eye, at least a statistical one, John may be one of the worst putters on the Web. Tour. We don’t have a true measurable stat for it but check this. He’s in the top 50 in both DA and DD, ranking him 12th in Total Driving. He was ranked 13th in GIR but ranked 103rd in BOB%. WHAT? Why isn’t he making birdies? Is it that he’s not hitting it close, or is it the flat stick? Time will tell pretty quickly with this one.

Personal Rank: #24

#25-Max Homa

Hometown: Burbank, California

College: Cal

Age: 27

Cuts: 15/27

Top 10’s-3

Top 25’s- 9

Wins- 0

Priority Ranking: 26

The Path to the PGA Tour:

Max had a great start to the season, finishing inside the top 20 in the first three events, but a dry spell for most of the year had him on the outside looking in come finals time. During the finals though, he showed up, in a big way earning two top 10’s and another 21st place. Max will be coming back to the PGA Tour after failing to retain his card in 17 starts in 2017.

PGA Tour Experience:

Homa as we mentioned played on the Tour in 2017, but was 2/17 in making cuts. He had much better success in 2014 where he went 12/27 including a top 10 and another top 25.

Web.Com Tour Finals Results:

21–6–7–CUT

Other Notes:

Max is a great Twitter personality and does not hold anything back. Be sure to give him a follow. On the golf course, Homa loves to make birdies, I mean who doesn’t, but he just happens to be good at it, ranking 5th on the Web.Com

Tour season last year.

#26-Curtis Luck

Hometown: Perth, Australia

College: N/A

Age: 22

Cuts: 16/27

Top 10’s-4

Top 25’s- 7

Wins- 0

Priority Ranking: 32

The Path to the PGA Tour:

Curtis had to earn his card through the Web Finals, just missing out in the regular season. Still, his two top tens and another top 25 during the four-event series helped this young heralded prospect out of Australia earn his PGA Tour card.

PGA Tour Experience:

Luck hasn’t really found a grove on the PGA Tour but has had a handful of starts of the past two years.

Web.Com Tour Finals Results:

21–6–7–CUT

Other Notes:

Luck has gotten a bit of press in the golfing world, as he was highly touted coming out of Australia. That crown has kind of passed on to Cameron Davis (Ranked #4), but still, Luck will finally be getting the coveted PGA Tour card. He, like Homa, loves to make birdies, but statistically doesn’t pop anywhere besides that.

Personal Rank: #9

#27-Joey Garber

Hometown: Petoskey, Michigan

College: Georgia

Age: 27

Cuts: 12/24

Top 10’s-3

Top 25’s- 6

Wins- 0

Priority Ranking: 43

The path to the PGA Tour:

Joey had a week to remember at the Rex Hospital Open where he shot four rounds in the 60’s including a Sunday 66 in route to his first Web.Com victory. Before the victor,y he had already earned four other top 25’s so the win all but assured him his PGA Tour Card.

PGA Tour Experience:

Joey has seven starts on the PGA Tour making two cuts with a top finish of 13th at the Barracuda Championship in 2016.

Web.Com Tour Finals Results:

42–CUT-51–CUT

Other Notes:

I can see Joey turning into a bit of a fan favorite on Tour this year… Hopefully, his play will match that of the character that I’m sure sits behind that set of hair. Statistically speaking, it’s a pretty grim sight, as his best ranking was 74th in scrambling. He did, however, make a lot of bridies, as he ranked 17th on the year.

Personal Rank: #26

#28-Julian Etulain

Hometown: Buenos Aires, Argentina

College: N/A

Age: 30

Cuts: 14/24

Top 10’s-3

Top 25’s- 6

Wins- 1

Priority Ranking: 29

The Path to the PGA Tour:

The win in Lousiana, followed up the next week with a top 5 in Savannah all but assured him a promotion to the PGA Tour.

PGA Tour Experience:

Julian has bounced around both the Euro and PGA Tour a couple of times over his career.

Web.Com Tour Finals Results:

CUT–CUT–77–CUT

Other Notes:

A couple of starts on the PGA Tour under his belt is just about the only overly exciting thing here for Julian…at least when we compare that to his stats. His best ranking is 59th in GIR, but similar to the three previously mentioned golfers ranks 35th in BOB%, so it’s likely he’s either a good putter or when he’s hitting the greens he’s hitting it close.

Personal Rank: #30

#29-Hank Lebioda

Hometown: House of Mouse, Florida

College: Florida State

Age: 24

Cuts: 18/26

Top 10’s-4

Top 25’s- 7

Wins- 0

Priority Ranking: 49

The Path to the PGA Tour:

Hank made 11 of his first 13 cuts and then went on a stretch of making four straight ending at the Pinnacle Bank Championship, where at that point he was looking good. He had to finish the season strong, however, making the last three cuts to secure his PGA Tour status.

PGA Tour Experience:

Hank has no PGA Tour experience.

Web.Com Tour Finals Results:

51–CUT–CUT–CUT

Other Notes:

Finally, the opposite of the previous four golfers, Hank statistically measures up as he doesn’t have a ranking worse than 68th (DD)…His BOB% he’s ranked 129th. What is going on here? Has to be a really bad putter. In the only stat that we’d be able to gather somewhat putting would be “Putting Average” where he ranked 118th.

Personal Rank: #27

#30-Kyle Jones

Hometown: Victorville, California

College: Baylor

Age: 25

Cuts: 16/27

Top 10’s-5

Top 25’s- 7

Wins- 0

Priority Ranking: 21

The Path to the PGA Tour:

The missed cut stat is a bit misleading here because, after the KC Golf Classic, he went on to miss the next 5/6 events. It was there where he finished second and was very likely to earn a promotion to the PGA Tour.

PGA Tour Experience:

This will be his maiden voyage on the PGA Tour.

Web.Com Tour Finals Results:

CUT–CUT–9–CUT

Other Notes:

Kyle also struggled to make birdies comparatively to other’s on this list, ranking only 77th on tour last year. He, however, is one of the most accurate drivers of the ball, ranking 20th, and also parlays that into hitting greens a good amount of the time ranking inside the top 30 in that stat as well. Look for him to succeed in courses where driving distance isn’t an advantage.

Personal Rank: #31

#31-Jose de Jesus Rodriguez

Hometown: Irapuato, Mexico

College: Cal

Age: 37

Cuts: 12/25

Top 10’s-3

Top 25’s- 7

Wins- 1

Priority Ranking: 39

The Path to the PGA Tour:

Jose had a nice beginning to the season, starting off by making 5/6 cuts with all 54/5 finishes ending up in the top 25. Then he missed back to back cuts before heading to the United Leason & Finances Championship. It was there he won and all but assured his PGA Tour status.

PGA Tour Experience:

Since 2012, Jose has played in the OHL Classic at Mayakoba 5 times making the cut just once. No other recent experience.

Web.Com Tour Finals Results:

CUT–CUT–CUT–46

Other Notes:

A life-changing win for Jose de Jesus, because outside of that win and a couple of other starts Rodriquez failed to accumulate anything meaningful statistically. His best area would be his scrambling where he ranked 63rd on the year but was able to at least get inside the top 50 regarding BOB%.

Personal Rank: #30

#32-Adam Svensson

Hometown: British Columbia, Canada

College: Barry University

Age: 24

Cuts: 13/22

Top 10’s-3

Top 25’s- 9

Wins- 0

Priority Ranking: 23

The Path to the PGA Tour:

Adam got off to a roaring start to the season, coming in 13th in the first event, in the Bahamans, winning the next event in the Bahamas, and then taking 7th in Panama. Then after a WD and a T39, he all be sewed up his PGA Tour card by earning a T6 at the Louisiana Open. Since then he’s only earned two top 10’s including the T8 at the Web.Com Tour Championship.

PGA Tour Experience:

Adam has played in his home open in Canada in 2013, 2014 ,2014, and 18 making the cut once. He also played in two events in 2016, making the cut just once.

Web.Com Tour Finals Results:

CUT–63–43–8

Other Notes:

The Canadian has a very similar story to that of our previous golfer Jose de Jesus, a win certainly propelled his career. His best ranking is 77th, and that is in Driving Accuracy.

Personal Rank: #32

#33-Roger Sloan

Hometown: Calgary, Canada

College: Texas El-Paso

Age: 31

Cuts: 15/24

Top 10’s-4

Top 25’s- 7

Wins- 0

Priority Ranking: 20

The Path to the PGA Tour:

The 31 year old Canadian made the most of the Web.Com Finals series as he earned a runner-up finishing at the Nabisco just a few weeks ago, that put him in position to earn that card. He followed that up with a 29th at the Tour Championship.

PGA Tour Experience:

In 2015 Sloan played in 20 events, making seven cuts. He also played in his home open this year, where he made the cut and finished in a tie for 37th.

Web.Com Tour Finals Results:

CUT–59–2–29

Other Notes:

The last guy on our power rankings comes in that way because his best ranking is 76th in Driving Distance. Also, the number of top 10’s and top 25’s and no wins aid to that ranking as well. Guess what though? These rankings aren’t going to matter come Thursday morning next week as any of them could have the best four golfing days of their life and be the next PGA Tour winner.

Personal Rank: #33
